Moored at Haslar Marina in Gosport, The Lightship offered an opportunity to create a restaurant interior unlike any conventional hospitality space. Boatfolk appointed Vivus Interiors to transform the existing floating restaurant into a more distinctive and elevated destination while celebrating the vessel’s history and its different eras of service.

We developed a characterful scheme that combined maritime influences with a more refined, contemporary identity. Colour, pattern, lighting and layered materials were used to bring warmth and atmosphere to the interior, with each space designed to feel individual while remaining part of one cohesive experience. The completed restaurant opened in June 2023, creating a memorable setting that feels connected to both the vessel and its marina location.
